Up to now, the monochrome 1/4 VGA graphic displays from Winstar were only available equipped with the controller EPSON SED1335 (S1D13305). After the recent discontinuation of this controller, Winstar has decided to equip these displays in the future with the very powerful successor S1D13700. The S1D13700 is provided with an internal storage of 32k*8 SRAM and can drive 240*160 dots at 16 gray scales or 320*240 dots at 4 gray scales.
The Winstar displays with the controller conforming to the RoHS directive are now available.
The PCBs newly equipped with the S1D13700 will be labelled with an additional “X”.
